Now you my answer to Why. Then, let's talk about the Golden Circle, which immediately pops up in my mind when anyone ask me 'Why?'
Hope you know Mr. Simon Sinek and his famous TedTalk YouTube video. If you haven't watched yet, I recommend you to do so! It's worth your time!
Here is the gist what he trying to say:
- 'Why' is the basis of a strong value proposition that will differentiate your brand from others.
- The answer to Why is your purpose, belief
- The answer to How is the process you're doing it
- The answer to What is the end result, the proof
- Great leaders communicate inside out, we should also be doing it, not only in meetings, pitching but also in every instance
- E.g.: Wright brothers' discovery of powered aircraft, how did they able to figure it out while there are other teams out there then. Because they (Wright brothers and other inspirational leaders) operate in the exact opposite way we do
- Note that the answer to Why should not be making money, that's the result or byproduct
